Homestead is a city within Miami-Dade County, nestled between Biscayne National Park to the East and Everglades National Park to the West. Homestead is primarily a Miami suburb and a major agricultural area. Homestead was incorporated in 1913 and is the second oldest city in Miami-Dade County next to the city of Miami. It is located approximately 35 miles (56 km) southwest of Miami, and 25 miles (40 km) northwest of Key Largo.
Homestead is a beautiful place to live and work. In this city, sunny days are the norm and the average temperature is 75 degrees. Homestead is only 25 miles Northwest of Key Largo and 30 miles Southwest of Homestead. East of the city is Biscayne National Park encompassing the bay, barrier islands, and coral reefs. Just south of the city are the Florida Key's with an abundance of recreational activities. The City of Homestead also offers dozens of municipal parks with various amenities.
